De-farting beans is vegan etiquette! It's easy! All you need to do is soak your dried beans overnight in water before you cook them. Or, you can also skim off the foam when you first bring your beans to a boil. Or, you can combine these two methods to added assurance and bonus vegan etiquette points!
If you buy your beans canned, they have already bean de-farted, so no worries!

Nor even CLOSE to true LOL. You soak beans so they are softer when they finish cooking. Foam? Not even close my friend.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that doesn't work. I soak my beans overnight, rinse, then cook in a crock pot all day. There isn't any foam. But even if there were, I'm fairly certain I'd still be farting up a stinky storm after eating.
ReplyDeleteAdd baking soda to the overnight water. Also change the water after you have skimmed off the first batch of heavy foam. No farts.
